Letters to you, and what I'm learning
“What part of your own childhood comes up in how you parent?”
Why this question
The things you inherited — good and hard. What you're aware of, and what you're trying to do with it.
Capturing it in voice
- ·Say the date and their age out loud at the start. In ten years that one detail will do half the work.
- ·If a sibling wanders in mid-recording, keep going. The interruption is the memory.
- ·Answer it yourself first, then ask them the same question and keep both. Two voices, one moment.
