Letters to you, and what I'm learning
“What do you want them to know about how much they are loved — in as specific a way as you can manage?”
Why this question
Not in the abstract. In the detail. The particular things you notice, and love, and will always love.
Capturing it in voice
- ·Say the date and their age out loud at the start. In ten years that one detail will do half the work.
- ·If a sibling wanders in mid-recording, keep going. The interruption is the memory.
- ·Answer it yourself first, then ask them the same question and keep both. Two voices, one moment.
