Everyday magic
“What are they like first thing in the morning — and last thing at night?”
Why this question
The bookends of their day. The hair, the grumpiness or the chatter, the way they surface and the way they go under.
Capturing it in voice
- ·Thirty seconds is plenty. A short answer you actually record beats a long one you keep meaning to.
- ·Say the date and their age out loud at the start. In ten years that one detail will do half the work.
- ·If a sibling wanders in mid-recording, keep going. The interruption is the memory.
